After reading the article, “Don’t Hate the Player, Hate the Game”, several questions arose in my mind. “How does this work?” It is surprising that game is not for fun for some people. Even so, how does a person or an organization earn money from playing the game? I know that companies do collect money from their users, so there should be a link between real money and game money. I want to find out why “gold farming” is only restricted in some regions, possibly due to economic issues, and how players earn money from the game.
This research can be significant because not many people know much about this. Although game industry is big, people who are not playing the game are interested in what is going on in this field. Since there are so many different kinds of game, people also do not know about the games they are not playing. And I would also like to focus on the title of this article, “Don’t Hate the Player, Hate the Game”, since most problems come from the companies’ policies. |
